UAE technology boosting the future of renewable energy sector

As the global energy market changed rapidly, UAE shifted its focus from the oil and gas industry being the primary market to exploring and opening new frontiers in the growing renewable energy segments in recent years.

Since 2012, Abu Dhabi has been the home to the International Renewable Agency (IRENA); UAE has become a pivotal player in the growing renewable energy segment.

The offshore Wind market is one of them as Global installed offshore wind capacity is expected to reach 600 gigawatts, fifteen-fold its current market. UAE-born technology is on a mission to support this sector’s fast global expansion from the UK, USA, and France to Taiwan and Japan.

ULO Systems is the offshore and marine part of the UAE – Sharjah-based “BUKHATIR Group,” with more than half a century of experience providing structural grouting solutions to the global offshore oil and gas sector.

It focuses on a niche segment, foundation grouting, where it self-developed its unique equipment technology in the UAE, the high-capacity recirculating jet mixers, RJM1 series.

” More green energy is needed, and we need it fast. These offshore wind facilities are installed in the ocean in a matter of hours,

and these facilities needed to remain there for decades to support the giant electricity generation turbines,” stated Gregory SAUVAGE, ULO Systems General Manager.

“in the UAE, we love to develop new skyscrapers and enhance our skyline. And these Offshore wind turbines are as high as those skyscrapers and face a harsh environment.

We are in a working environment that always looks for the following challenges and promotes technology.

We need ultra-high strength grouting material to flow at high capacity in the foundations and meet the specified needs of quality and strength every time.

We enjoy being part of this environment and proud to be able to deliver sustainability for future generations worldwide” Gregory added.

The future depends on increased renewable energy deployment, and the UAE is on an active contribution roadmap.
